This course aims to explain what the ScipionCloud thematic service is, how it can be useful for the research community and how it can be deployed and use.
Scipion is an application used by the Structural Biology community to process images acquired at an Electron Microscopy facility to obtain a 3D structural map in a very high resolution. This image processing workflow is very complex and is composed of many heterogeneous steps that have different hardware needs, involving the use of powerful Nvidia GPUs and huge memory requirements.
ScipionCloud offers Scipion in a cloud environment, either in a single server or in a cluster.
With this course you will be able to request the use of this service in the EOSC cloud infrastructure or deploy the service in your own cloud premises. You will also learn how to access and use the service to process your own data.
